About Sportsman’s Insurance Agency
Sportsman’s Insurance Agency was founded in 1991 to focus on insurance coverage for gun clubs, gun owners, and other businesses in the firearms industry. It was founded by Hollis Boss as a successor agency to his previous, three decade old Hollis Boss Agency that provided a full spectrum of business related insurance services. In addition to his more than 40 years of providing insurance services for firearms related businesses, Hollis is a past president of the National Skeet Shooting Association and a past Chairman of the U. S. Shooting Team Foundation.
In addition to Hollis Boss, Sportsman’s is staffed by experienced, knowledgeable insurance professionals who cater to the insurance needs of the shooting industry.
Bill Stephens joined Sportsman’s on a full time basis in late 2007 after handling marketing and promotional chores for Hollis since the very beginning of SIAI in 1991. Bill has a strong background in business management and has been providing insurance and other services to the shooting industry since 1978. Bill is Sportsman’s primary contact for gun insurance.
Heidi Juttner is an in-house producer with over 25 years experience in the agency business. She has been with Sportsman’s since 1998. Heidi is a specialist in liability insurance and is the key contact for all of Sportsman’s liability insurance programs. She is a fountain of knowledge regarding the insurance needs of shooting organizations and is available to discuss these needs with all of Sportsman’s clients.
Leslie Casanova is Sportsman’s finance director and handles IT as well. She also is licensed as a real estate agent and paralegal and has been with Sportsman’s since 1995. Leslie works on the Trophy Insurance program and assures that all policies are prepared and filed properly with the underwriter.
Keren Sandnes has been with Sportsman’s since 2000. She maintains the data base of customer policies and issues the policies, certificates of insurance and endorsements.
Melinda Eissler joined Sportsman’s in 2008. She answers the phones, maintains the customer files and provides administrative support.
